Network Data
- Index of Complex Networks This is my favorite. Always cites, has a ton of social networks. Sortable list by # edges (and other things)
- networkrepository.com Quite a beautiful website. A large list of networks of all kinds, including 57 social networks. Allows you to filter by multiple network properties. Only down-side is many networks don't reference where they came from. That might be important...
- SNAP collection All kinds of networks. Mostly from social media. Relatively well-organized. Sometimes the data is harder than it should be to use.
- awesomedata#complexnetworks or awesomedata#socialnetworks seem quite good, if you're still looking
- UCINET IV Datasets Classic sociological (so small, real, and carefully collected)
- UCIIrvine repository
- ASU collection Social media datasets
- Pajek datasets
- Konect -- actually it's no longer hosted (2020)
- Mark Newmann's collection
- Presumably Moreno's
- Alex Arenas has collected a few
- Package 'igraphdata' Only 12 datasets, but imports right into R. enron, foodwebs, immuno, karate, kite, Koenigsberg, macaque, rfid, UKfaculty, USairports, yeast.
- Katherine Ognyanova's list
Specific datasets that I find interesting
- The New Orleans FB network is pretty good, for its completeness and availability link 1 link 2
- Sociopatterns collects real-time info on who is nearby who. Their best is the French classrooms data, although I seem to remember it was longer than just a couple days...
- GSS asks # people known named X, or who are occupation Y, etc. Kind of interesting, and hardly used (found one use here). 2006
